Job description
This role will be the first Risk and Fraud analyst for dutchie’s payments business. We are building the next generation of payment products to help dispensaries drive sales online and at retail locations. As part of that we need to ensure customers and dispensaries have great experiences while mitigating the risk of bad actors. Your role will be to identify and predict risk, work with other counterparts to set rules and models to mitigate it, participate in the selection of vendors to get better risk signal, and work with product and engineering to define risk protection roadmap. The role will work closely with Dutchie’s BI team to ensure the right modeling is done and desired outcomes are achieved.

What You’ll Do...
- Monitor accounts and transactions to identify and predict risky behavior that could result in losses for Dutchie
- Drive risk metrics – from scoping to design to execution – through supporting launches and growth of Dutchie’s new payment methods. Input directly into Dutchie's risk strategy and rules
- Establish close relationships with and work with key partners across product, engineering, data analytics and business teams to develop strategies for maximizing revenue while minimizing losses
- Identify the top user payment pain points and work with product to define product improvement opportunities
- Oversee escalations and incidents and quickly drive remediation strategies with the right partners
- Regularly communicate project and metric updates to members of the Dutchie’s leadership team
- Actively engage Dutchie’s Compliance on trends or significant events that could negatively impact the soundness of Dutchie’s compliance with Payment Networks, Bank partners, rules, and regulations
