Reporting to the Chief Research and Innovation Officer, the Research Analyst contributes to refining the corporate direction across business units and plays an integral role in helping to identify and ultimately advance Flowrs brand plans. Responsible to support a portfolio of brands and business units, the Research Analyst will use strategic, research and analytical practices to prepare succinct and accurate reports that refine and set the direction for marketing plans across all key functions of Flowr (operations, sales, marketing, innovation).
CORE JOB DUTIES
Assessing new areas of opportunity through detailed Canadian consumer knowledge, retailing landscape, competitor activities, products and markets
Drive pace & agility by making the right marketing decisions across multiple areas of the business, within a highly time sensitive work flow
Contribute to the go to market planning for future product innovations
Build a system to allow the ongoing monitoring and reporting of consumer, competitor and brand activity with analysis and recommendations
Work with sales, marketing and the research teams to ensure best-in-class execution across the organization, providing support where necessary
Monitor research project schedule and update senior team members on progress
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
University degree in Marketing (or similar business related degree)
2-5 years of Analyst experience program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative data analysis; experience as a Brand Manager is beneficial
Solid understanding of research methodologies
Ability to influence up, down, and across the organization
Team oriented, with leadership and very strong interpersonal skills
Flexible, self-starter able to cope with ambiguity, and willing to embrace change
Business acumen and analytical skills
Project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects
