Job description

The Packaging Machine Technician works under the direction of the Packaging Machine Operations Manager to operate Lightshade packaging machinery. Duties include carrying out daily packaging runs, cleaning machinery and workspaces, maintenance as assigned, and ensuring product produced is compliantly weighed and labeled.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:

This position assumes the responsibility of Packaging machinery operation. This position does not supervise others.

GUIDELINES:

Guidelines include the employee handbook, Post-Harvest SOPs, Post-Harvest training/procedural documents, CO MED Rules, and other state, local, and federal regulations as applicable.

COMPLEXITY:

Work involves reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents including technical procedures and governmental regulations.

SCOPE AND EFFECT:

The purpose of the work is to maintain the operations of the packaging machine.

PERSONAL CONTACTS:

This position requires continuous contact with numerous staff, contractors, vendors, and regulators as needed to successfully accomplish the duties of the position on a daily basis.

PURPOSE OF CONTACTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate professionally in person, over the telephone, through email and other electronic means, and may move across various locations as needed.

BENEFITS:

In addition to your compensation, you will be eligible to receive any benefits which are offered to all full-time Lightshade employees. The employer will pay 250 towards Employee Health Insurance, and half of the employee cost of Dental insurance. The employee pays for Vision and Aflac. These benefits are available after 60 days. The company pays Life at 1 x your annual salary and Short-Term Disability. We offer a 401k program, with a 6% match after 90 days. Lightshade offers Vacation time at 80 hours accrued in the first year, 120 hours during the third year, and 160 after four years of service. Sick time is 80 hours per year. Both are a maximum of 160 hours of accruals.
