Job description
Desktop, Networking and Hardware Support will help support all operations by troubleshooting, repairing, or deploying new hardware, software or processes regarding technology across our locations. This role will require travel to each of our locations in Massachusetts, and potentially other locations as necessary. Specific job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and support various hardware systems including but not limited to networks, POS Systems, IP Cameras and Printers
- Work with Vendors to resolve outages and issues.
- Develop and program new systems and tools to enhance service and overall functionality of the department
- Fix and troubleshoot hardware
- Take a proactive view of internal needs and offer technological solutions where applicable
- Analyze existing processes and offer solutions where applicable
- Evaluate current software and hardware (internal and 3rd party)
- Must wear many technical hats (hardware, software)
- On-call and after hours work required
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements (Education and Experience)
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Network set-up, trouble shooting and support
- IP Cameras/CCTV Systems
- POS software/hardware
- Cable terminations and testing
- Thorough Windows/MacOS knowledge preferred
- Experience with receipt printers & POS Systems a plus
