We are looking for a Compliance Analyst who embraces the Wyld culture.
The compliance department ensures Wyld meets and exceeds governmental and industry standards across multiple states. Primary responsibilities include researching applicable law, investigating facts, and preparing documents as directed by the Director of Compliance. In addition, you will track new and changing regulations as applied to existing and anticipated products and clearly communicate information to appropriate departments.
Responsibilities include the following:
Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, legal articles, bulletins, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes regarding each state's regulations regarding cannabis, business expansion, and other issues as directed.
Prepare legal documents such as briefs, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust instruments for review, approval, and use by Director of Compliance and senior management
Prepares affidavits and maintain an organized document file.
Prepares real estate closing statement and assists in closing process.
Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system.
Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
Attend educational workshops and read regulatory bulletins affecting our industry to gather information on what these changes mean for our employees and our business.
Conduct audits, review compliance reports, and inspect activity, summarizing findings and coordinate and communicates pertinent information and changes with appropriate departments
Vet all SOPs and coordinating with supervisor regarding any compliance questions.
Analyzing licensing requirements for new states, helping expansion team. We need to have an eye on every market that may or may not be coming on.
Be up-to-date on HR compliance and working requirements for pertinent states.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in history, business, law or a related field.
We would love to have someone with 1-3 years of related experience/training in research and/or writing or work as a paralegal.
A law school degree would be great, but is not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft office, data analysis and Google Apps
Active Oregon Liquor Control Commission (“OLCC”) marijuana worker permit.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written, with impeccable spelling and grammar, organized sentence structure, and coherent thought.
Occasional travel required to other Wyld locations, events, expos, seminars and fellow manufacturing facilities.
