The Business Operations Analyst eats, sleeps, and breathes data. This person must be a motivated self-starter with a knack for understanding complex business requirements and how the data can be used to create clarity in decision making through all levels of management. The Business Operations Analyst should have a strong appetite for learning new skills and new applications of existing skills with the flexibility to execute when only some parameters are known.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identify user needs from user requests and develop strategies by which to meet those needs.
Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly indicate quality of final analysis.
Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways.
Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational or customer information needs.
Analyze and report on complex data to meet customer needs.
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline tasks in Airflow, Python/Bash
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Must be 21 years old or older
Must pass a background check through the San Jose Police Department
Must be eligible to work in the U.S
Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years experience
Intermediate SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
