Job description
Budtenders at Kaleafa are responsible for ensuring the highest quality customer service, obtaining, weighing and receiving merchandise for customers, totaling bills, accepting payment, making change for customers, opening and closing procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining product knowledge and complying with OLCC rules and regulations.
Additionally, Budtenders should be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. They should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Be sensitive to customers’ needs. Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to the job. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify validity of identification of guests as per OLCC guidelines.
- Ensure each guest receives outstanding customer service by fostering a friendly, welcoming atmosphere; this includes greeting and acknowledging every guest enthusiastically, answering questions and/or concerns, making guests feel appreciated through your actions and having solid product knowledge.
- Work with others to keep all areas cleaned, stocked and compliant to ensure an effective, efficient and safe workflow.
- Accurately input customers’ orders, collect money from guests and make change; totaling price and tax on merchandise; accepting payment and making change; as well as packaging product in an appropriate exit containers as per OLCC regulations.
- Work with team members to open and close the store.
- Wash and sterilize flower jars
- Arrange products to maintain an attractive display
- Learn guests’ names and favorite products
- Labeling products
- Adhere to all OLCC marijuana rules and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Possess OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit
- Working level computer knowledge
- Moderate to advanced cannabis/product knowledge
- Previous retail, food or customer service experience
- Ability to speak politely and effectively with a diverse clientele
- Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions
- Ability to interpret and apply OLCC rules
