Job Duties
- Maintain consistent management and leadership of retail employees across all shifts
- Assist the Retail General Manager with employee scheduling and payroll responsibilities as requested
- Ensure the dispensary remains compliant within the Cannabis Control Commission regulations and guidelines at all times
- Provide staff with ongoing review of Standard Operating Procedures and training updates-as directed by the Retail General Manager
- Coach staff to improve their performance and enhance development
- Embrace the Company's mission for guest experience and hospitality
- Assist with the troubleshooting of all point-of-sale software and equipment
- Open and close the store
- Assist with the management of the cash and debits made in the retail store.
- Assist and coordinate with the Inventory Specialist to keep menus current and ensure we are in total compliance with inventory
- Assist with the ordering and receiving of the non-cannabis inventor
- Provide reports as needed or requested by company managers and officers
- Participate in regular meetings and occasional offsite training activities
- Coordinate with the Security Specialist to ensure proper guest flow.
- Maintain the safety and security of the entire premises.
- Communicate issues or concerns with the security systems to the Security Specialist or Retail General Manager.
- Prevent theft and diversion of all cannabis and cannabis related products.
- Ensure no minors enter the premises.
In-Depth
The Assistant Manager supports the Retail General Manager in operating an efficient cannabis retail store and friendly environment. This position manages the daily operations during the Retail General Manager's time off or any other absence, always maintaining consistent management.
This position requires a strong working knowledge of Metrc and the POS software. The Assistant Manager will support the Retail General Manager with scheduling, payroll, and/or compliance as needed. The Assistant will ensure all cash handling procedures are adhered to and followed at all times. The Assistant Manager contributes to keeping the operation in total compliance with Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
The Assistant Manager will primarily serve on the front lines of management. The Assistant Manager will be expected to cover shifts during scheduling gaps. This person practices open-door, relationship-based management, and acts as a role model and mentor to the team. Their actions embody the company values and culture.
The Assistant Manager will act as a representative of Bud's Goods at all times. The Assistant Manager is enthusiastic and engaging to everyone and remains kind and composed under pressure. The Assistant Manager must be available and able to address both guest and employee concerns at all times.
This position is the eyes and ears for the Retail General Manager. This includes updating the scheduling software when employees do not work their scheduled shifts. This also includes communicating events and daily recaps to the Retail General Manager. This position diffuses potential issues before they become problems. The Assistant Manager keeps the retail in good working order and is proactive on solutions to support the Retail General Manager and the rest of the team.
Requirements
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Required Experience: High school diploma and qualifying relevant cannabis or hospitality experience.
Preferred Experience: One year in cannabis industry; 2 years of customer service hospitality experience
Must have transportation
Must be able to stand for long lengths of time and be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
